On Thursday afternoon, Memphis rap artist Lil Wyte was arrested on possession of drug and DUI charges. Sheriff's Deputy Oliver Marcidas took Wyte into custody in Clarksville, Tennessee at around 3:50 p.m.

Wyte, who has worked with the likes of Three 6 Mafia and DJ Paul, was released on $1,500 bond. It was reported that he was currently engaged in a small promotional tour for his latest project "Still Doubted".

Before he was arrested, he took to Twitter to let his fans know that he was set to clear up a DUI charge and get his license back.

"Bout to pull in Clarksville TN to take care of my DUI an get my license back. Can we say time to get the 2012 Cadillac CTSV #Vroom."
