8Ball of 8Ball & MJG recently chopped it up with Kevin Nottingham, discussing his new album due out July 17, and also a possible project with Mississippi rapper Big K.R.I.T. After the two rappers collaborated on the song "Money On the Floor", 8Ball says their chemistry took off.
"K.R.I.T.'s 'Money On the Floor' spawned like five or six other songs," 8Ball told Nottingham. "Like the song that's on my album, 'We Buy Gold', came from all of that. We went into the studio a couple of days in Atlanta at Tree Sound and banged out five or six one day. So I think [recording a complete album is] possible. That kid has got a definite old soul, you feel me?"
K.R.I.T.'s impeccable production mixed with the heavy drawls of Memphis legends 8Ball & MJG would likely yield a project for the South to remember.
