Producer Big Hutch is suing Eve, Dr. Dre, and both Interscope and Ruff Ryders Ent. for allegedly "stealing" money from him from the 1999 hit single "Love Is Blind."

Hutch alleged to HipHopDX that in December of '97 he was brought on board to produce for Eve by Dr. Dre's Aftermath Ent. Head of A&R, Mike Lynn.  Apparently "Love Is Blind" was one of the songs that Hutch created while working with Eve, claiming that he co-wrote and produced the single.

Eve switched teams in '99 to Interscope's Ruff Ryders label, and released her debut multi-platinum selling solo album, Let There Be Eve...Ruff Ryders' First Lady.  Hutch's alleged song "Love Is Blind" was one of the featured songs on the album, and Eve recruited Faith Evans to sing the hook, when Hutch originally got Truth Hurts, to sing the hook on the alleged original version.

Hutch later spoke to Aftermath executives regarding royalty payments and compensation for his assistance with the single, but apparently, these executives responded by saying, "We can't help you.  You have no proof."

Hutch recently found the original demo that Eve recorded of the song with him at Larrabee Studios many years ago.

"I'm not trying to take away from what Eve has done, but I was a key in helping Eve create a hit record," Hutch said, regarding the matter.

Let's see how this all plays out.
