Nas sat down with Rap-Up.com to discuss the release of his upcoming and highly anticipated 10th album, Life Is Good, which is set for a July 17th release.  Nas spoke about the symbolism behind his cover art.  Even though the album cover just shows him sitting down with his ex-wife Kelis' green wedding dress resting on his lap, there are many emotions that lay beneath the surface of this image.

To Nas, his album cover represents:

"Life, love, joy, anger, celebration. There's so many things you can see on that album cover. You see my life. My life is on that album cover."

He also opened up about how he had a goal of making this album filled with "timeless" music.  Nas feels as though his songs on Life Is Good are a combination of musical sounds from past times, and yet they are songs that can be played many years from now.

"My mindset was to pull out a side of me that people haven't heard in a while and give 'em that feeling that they haven't felt in a while—a feeling that I love. And some of that feeling is '90s-esque, some of that feeling is 2015. It's just a feeling that I feel to be a timeless sound. So I just let it flow."
