Nick Fairley, defensive tackle for the Detroit Lions, was arrested in his hometown of Alabama for suspicion of driving under the influence.

He was flying down a street in his Cadillac Escalade going up to 100 mph when state troopers flashed their sirens to get his attention. Initially, he ignored the alarms but eventually pulled over and was seemingly impaired.

He also received a citation for driving with an open container, reckless driving, and having no proof of insurance. According to reports from Fox10TV.com, Fairley posted $1,750 bond and was ultimately released that same morning.

The Detroit Lions are aware of his recent arrest and are steadily gathering details about the situation. They've yet to make a statement.

This marks the second time Fairley's been arrested in his hometown as he was apprehended for possession of marijuana back in early April. He received a misdemeanor.
