New leads and developments have been emerging for weeks now in the very publicized murder trial of Louisiana rapper Lil Boosie. The trial has finally commenced, and opening statements have been made by both the prosecution and defense.

Based on reports from The Advocate, Boosie allegedly hired a man by the name of Michael "Marlo Mike" Louding, described as a "young, gullible, cold-hearted hit man", to kill another individual by the name of Terry Boyd. The order came after Boosie discovered that the deceased had been released from prison back in 2009, and had his eyes set on physically harming the artist.

But Boosie's defense team countered those accusations in their rebuttal, claiming that the rapper and Boyd's sister had a child together and there was no tension between them. The defense also stated that Boosie was being targeted because he was a rap artist.
