Kinetics and One Love, the production team behind B.o.B.'s "Airplanes" song are being sued by co-writer, Christine Dominguez, who claims that she never received any compensation.
Dominguez claims she wrote significant parts of the melody for the song, but says she never saw a dime once the song was released. She added that she received compensation for an alternate version of the song, but was snubbed when B.o.B's version dropped.
Dominguez is seeking royalties from CD sales, digital sales, ringtones, ringbacks and more. She's currently suing the producers for unfair competition, unjust enrichment, copyright infringement, and failure to account for revenues derived from sampling or other use of the song.
