Ice-T's hip hop documentary 'The Art of Rap' premiered Saturday afternoon to more head bumpin' than the festival normally sees. The audience was stocked with rap artists and hip hop fans, and spent much of the doc breaking into applause whenever another rap icon broke into a freestyle.
When the screening was over, Ice seemed genuinely pleased, having seen the film on the big screen with an audience for the first time. "What'd y'all think?" he said with a big smile. "Sh*t was kinda good..."
The film takes a detailed look at how some of the best rappers of the last 30 years do what they do.
