It's no big secret that hip-hop is a giant platform for mainstream trends to form from. Case in point: Drake and his lyrics about Moscato, a sweet Italian dessert wine.
Since rapping about sipping on Moscato on tracks like "I Invented Sex" ft. Trey Songz, where Drake raps "It's a celebration, clap clap bravo / lobster and shrimp and a glass of Moscato / for the girl who's a student and the friend who's a model / finish the whole bottle and we gon' do it big like this."
The lyrics have influenced sales of Moscato, which Martini, the most iconic name in Italian winemaking took note by launching their newest wine of 2011, MARTINI Moscato d'Asti.
In the 90's it was Jay-Z and Cristal, and now it's Drake with Moscato.
