16 year-old Anthony Stewart of Syracuse, New York will be considered a felon for life, for a robbery that netted him 7 cents. Back in December Stewart and his friend, carried BB guns that looked like a revolver, and knocked a 73 year-old to the ground, kicking him in the head, punching him in the face; they broke his glasses and robbed him for all he had; 7 cents.
Stewart's 16 year-old accomplice pleaded guilty in July, and was sentenced to one to four years in state prison, as a youthful offender, which removes the felony conviction from his record.
Whereas, Stewart after allegedly confessing, decided to fight the case, he lost and was found guilty of first-degree robbery. He faces two to six years in a juvenile detention center and will be considered a felon for the rest of his life.
