Don’t get too hyphy this year rooting for your team because if they lose, you could die.
A recent study found that watching the big game could trigger a massive heart attack, namely if you root for the losing team.
In the two week period after the 1980 Super Bowl, heart-related deaths increased by 15 percent among men and 27 percent among women in Los Angeles, as compared to the same numbers in the years before and after the event.
Lead researcher Professor Robert Kloner told CNN that this happens because sports fans get emotionally connected to their team. ''When their team loses, that's an emotional stress," he said. "There's a brain-heart connection, and it is important for people to be aware of that."
Watch the game this year at your own risk. You don’t want to get caught out there like Fred Sanford.
