North Korean supreme leader Kim Jong-Un has test launched scores of missiles in the backdrop of threats against its southern neighbor and the West, over the past four years, yet his friendship with NBA great Dennis Rodman through that period remains steady. And in listening to how Rodman characterizes Kim Jong, it wouldn't be a stretch to conceive that a good many Americans have been persuaded to at least question whether or not the 33-year-old dictator is a bad guy at all. Because, according to Rodman, the guy is not the monster you'd imagine he'd be, in person.

"For me to go over there to see him as much as I have, I basically hang out with him all the time. We laugh, we sing karaoke, and we do a lot of cool things together. We ride horses; we hang out, we go skiing. And we hardly ever talk politics. And that's the good thing about that," Rodman said during Wednesday's [September 6] edition of Good Morning Britain. "If you see him sit at a table he's just like anybody else to me. He's always laughing, smiling, you know, talking to his people. That's it."

Rodman has been known to make an occasional trip over to Pyongyang since meeting Kim Jong during a good will basketball exhibition in 2013. Apparently, the notorious Hollywood buff is also a huge basketball fan, who has a particular affinity for the Chicago Bulls of the 90's. They also connect through their shared liking for music, Rodman says, and he envisions that if given the opportunity to sit and indulge in a casual chat, President Trump might even clique with Kim; thus, opening the door for all kinds of possibilities concerning U.S.-North Korean diplomacy.
