Former NBA star and friend of Kim Jong-un Dennis Rodman has flown back to North Korea, saying he is "just trying to open a door" to peace between the North Korea the US.
Rodman is one of the few individuals with a personal relationship with both Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un.
“Well, I'm pretty sure [Trump is] pretty much happy with the fact that I'm over here trying to accomplish something that we both need," Rodman said.
Any trip by a high-profile American to North Korea during a time when the relationship between the two countries is so tense is sure to draw criticism.
