NBA Youngboy is headed north for a pair of weekend tour dates in New Jersey that will see him take the stage with controversy hanging over his head after video of him trading fists with a fan during his show in Virginia began to go viral.

Youngboy was in South Richmond for a performance at The National on Friday night, September 21, and judging by a video that has been circulating from some of those who were in attendance, Baton Rouge's own was received by a packed house. But despite the excitement that he was welcomed by, the event, unfortunately, wouldn't come full circle without a hitch. At one point Youngboy found himself coming face to face with one particular fan whose energy he wasn't feeling, which appeared to immediately trigger him to set it off.

One recording that has been making rounds on social media shows what happened leading up to the moment that the 4Respect 4Freedom 4Loyalty 4WhatImportant rapper began to swing on his counterpart. In the clip, Youngboy's security can be seen trying to make way for him to move about as dozens of hands reach towards him. They were in such a frenzy that he at one point applies a grip on his chains to keep them from being stripped off of his neck.

After moving past the more aggressive section of the crowd, though, things get a little still and it becomes apparent that Youngboy is squaring up. That's when he begins to unload on the unidentified patron.

Police were called to the venue at around 11:45 p.m. but no arrests were made and no injuries were reported.
