Controversial Republican Senate nominee Roy Moore lost the election to Doug Jones, who will fill the spot of Attorney General Jeff Sessions. The race between the two candidates was tight throughout the night, and in the end, Jones won the race with over a 10,000 vote lead on Moore.

Moore gained a lot of attention during the special election, with sexual assault allegations surrounding him, including four women who claimed Moore assaulted them when they were under the age of 18. The former judge denied the claims and gained major support from President Trump throughout his run for Senate.
