It is hard to debate the impact that the Ball family has had on the game of basketball and in the basketball world in general. They have garnered more attention than probably any family in history and are on course to be in the conversation for the near future. The oldest, Lonzo, is currently a rookie with the Los Angeles Lakers and is having a solid season despite inconsistencies. LaMelo is the youngest and is currently one of the highest rated high school players in the country with a clear path to the NBA. LiAngelo, the middle child, had a different path than his older brother.

After being arrested for shoplifting during an exhibition trip to China, LiAngelo has officially withdrawn from UCLA and under his father’s tutelage, plans to prepare for the NBA. His decision to shoplift and eventually withdraw from the NCAA may end up influencing Melo and what he decides to do after high school.

According to former UCLA stand out Shabazz Muhammad, don’t count LiAngelo and LaMelo out of the NBA just yet. Despite the change of course from UCLA basketball, he believes they will eventually play on the same team together in the NBA.

"I think they gonna play all on the same team, too.” Muhammad continued, Saying believing that LaVar "speaks everything into existence, so it'd be foolish to question any of his moves.”
