Lakers Rookie Lonzo Ball recorded the second triple-double of his career in the team's win over the Denver Nuggets. The 20-year-old secured 11 pts, 11 assists, 16 rebounds. While triple-doubles look good on paper, many may argue that Lonzo's season isn't matching up to the game his father LaVar has been talking up even before the point guard made it to the league.

The outspoken dad doesn't think this is the fault of his son's talent but rather with the Lakers coaching staff being too "soft." LaVar is displeased with how Lakers Coach Luke Walton has done his job with Lonzo up until this point in the season.

According to Bleacher Report's Eric Pincus, LaVar had this to say of the Los Angeles team, "They're soft. They don't know how to coach my son. I know how to coach him. I tell him to go get the victory. Stop messing around." While critiquing the LA coaching staff, he made sure to let it be known that he knows how to coach Lonzo.

"Go get the 'W.' Do whatever it takes. That's why I'm down here saying, 'Rebound,'" Lavar proclaimed. "He's been away from me too long. I see tendencies in his game—they're trying to baby him a little bit... What I mean by babying, 'He'll figure it out.' It ain't about that. 'Be patient with him?' Ain't no patience if you're winning."

LaVar doesn't believe that losing is an option when you have a team full of talent. Nor does he feel a transitionary period exists in order to build a team up to that, it's either you have it, or you don't. In a quote from Pincus, Coach Walton doesn't agree with that ideology. "It's never just you get it and all of a sudden you don't have slippage anymore. Every team goes through it. The important thing for us is that we learn from our mistakes, we keep our head up, we keep working and grinding away to get where we all want to be," Walton said.

Ball has made it clear he has no issue with Walton directly; he just hates losing. The Lakers are currently 7-10 this season.
