By now, everyone should be aware of Meek Mill's prison sentence. The Philly rapper was given a sentence for a string of recent probation violations stemming from a gun arrest and another for reckless driving. Meek was sentenced earlier on Monday, November 6, by a judge in Philadelphia resulting in a 2-4 year prison sentence as punishment for the violation(s). Since the news of Meek's fate broke there has been an outpouring of support from the rapper from fans to those in the entertainment industry. One such supporter was Roc Nation boss JAY-Z who took to social media for a rare appearance, stated:

The sentence handed down by the Judge -- against the recommendation of the Assistant District Attorney and Probation Officer -- is unjust and heavy-handed. We will always stand and support Meek Mill, both as he attempts to right this wrongful sentence and then in returning to his musical career.

Meek's lawyer has said the rapper will be appealing the sentence.
