Just last month, Jason Derulo's home was broken into and unfortunately, he was robbed of $600,000 in jewelry and $80,000 in cash. And guess what? Jason's employee, Rip Van Winkle, was asleep in the house while it happened.
Regardless of the circumstances, police were doing their due diligence to find out how the robbery went down. Now police are saying that they think it was an inside job. It seems as if the suspects pried a door open and went straight to the room that Jason's safe was located and smashed it until it opened. According to TMZ, there were multiple suspects that broke into the house.
After the burglary, an employee of Jason went to the house and saw that someone stole the belongings and then called the police to report the crime.
Rip Van Winkle is said to have been far away from where the burglary took place. And the burglars only went to one room: the one with the safe. Kind of suspicious, don't you think? At the very least Jason was not home during the robbery and nobody got hurt.
It is unsure which house of Jason's homes were robbed but the last home he did purchase was in Tarzana, a neighborhood in Los Angeles.
