The woman accusing Nelly of rape has notified the District Attorney and claims that the rapper is bullying her in the media. Since the allegation, Nelly has responded claiming he is innocent and says his celebrity makes him an easy target for greed and vindictiveness.

Karen Koehler, the young woman's attorney, says Nelly's team sent out a letter to prosecutors that verbally attacked her client. Nelly's attorney has stated that the victim has a motive of fame and notoriety by alleging the superstar raped her. "It is morally reprehensible for an accused person and his bully lawyer to issue derogatory and defamatory statements against a young alleged rape victim. It is also criminal -- in the State of Washington -- when those vicious attacks are issued in the form of threats" Koehler says of the letter.

Koehler writes in her letter that intimidating a witness is a class B felony in Washington.

Scott Rosenblum, who represents Nelly, fired back at Koehler's assertation early Tuesday morning (10/10), "I would suggest rereading the [intimidating a witness] statute. I would further suggest talking to some of the unbiased witnesses." He goes on to tell TMZ, "Nelly will continue to respond to her client's baseless allegations."
