Terrorist Stephen Paddock may not be the “lone wolf” the news has been making him out to be. The Las Vegas police recently said that there is evidence saying the gunman planned on surviving and escaping from his attack on the Las Vegas strip this past Sunday.

Sheriff Joseph Lombardo revealed details and asked questions during a press conference that took place at the Las Vegas police headquarters. Lombardo questioned if Paddock had help, saying “Do you think this was all accomplished on his own? You’ve got to make the assumption he had to have some help at some point.” Lombardo also revealed the 64-year-old shooter rented a room via Airbnb that was overlooking the Life Is Beautiful Festival in Vegas, which took place before the Route 91 Harvest festival that he attacked. The sheriff also noted during the news conference that he saw evidence that Paddock had intentions on staying alive after his killing spree after leaving the Mandalay Bay Hotel. Although he saw the evidence, the sheriff did not specify what the evidence was.

Lombardo’s revelation comes after he previously stated that the police thought the shooter committed a “solo act.” Lombardo noted that it may be possible the shooter was “a super guy working out all of this on his own.” The sheriff went on to say “It would be hard for me to believe that.”
