Trae Tha Truth has been nothing but supportive of the victims of Hurricane Harvey. Hailing from Houston, Texas, the damage that the hurricane left behind didn't stop Trae from saving victims from flooding waters, providing people food and so much more. Now, he's using his music to raise more awareness of how many people really need help.
The rapper released the visual for his track, “Trying to Figure It Out" today. Though the track came out in 2015, Trae feels that the message is perfect for what is going on right now. The video includes footage of Houston after the hurricane hit.
Along with helping others, giving out food and releasing this visual, Trae has raised $155,544 through his GoFundMe campaign. He told Fox 26 that he was inspired to help others after he had to be saved, “I felt helpless yesterday when I had to be rescued, so I know that feeling."
