Big props are due for Trae Tha Truth. After having to be rescued Monday from the dangerous flood waters engulfing his hometown, the Houston hip hop legend got out the next day to do his own part in aiding some of the countless victims still stranded by the deadly flood.

A reporter from Houston's Fox 27 caught up with Trae on Tuesday while he was out on a boat with members of the fire department searching for victims.

"I felt helpless yesterday when I had to be rescued, so I know the feeling," explained Trae when asked by the reporter why he felt compelled to help out.

"You know, a lot of people have been reaching out asking what can they do, and my first words is, definitely praying..."
