Former UFC champ Daniel Cormier heard rival, Jon Jones when he recently told TMZ he'd like to become friends with him, following their fight in July. Cormier's response to the olive branch, and whether he'd also be happy to meet? Likely not.

"I believe he is being genuine, yes, I do believe that he is trying to turn over a new leaf. I think he's trying to show that he is a different person than he was in the past," Cormier said during his first appearance on FOX/UFC since losing to Jones for a second time, at UFC 214. "With that being said, friendship would be very difficult for us to achieve because of our history," he said.

Jones and Cormier went at it for years between their first [2015] and second [2017] fights. It was one of the more personal beefs in the sport, and with Jones making good on his prediction to make DC cry, one can only imagine how embarrassed he remains. As for Jones, he doesn't see them duking it out again in the near future, and if they do wind up meeting again, one must project that the attitude behind the fight would be different, seeing how far along Jones has come in his growth.
