In the wake of the protests in Charlottesville, Trump held a press conference in NYC on Tuesday, where he blamed both sides for the violence and compared George Washington and Thomas Jefferson to Robert E. Lee. Failing to have a discourse on race in America and seemingly siding with white nationalists, the President's jaw-dropping performance was met with much congressional reaction. John McCain and Marco Rubio condemned Trump's statements and other present harsh critiques without mentioning the president's name. Van Jones and GOP analysts on Fox News were even teary-eyed when discussing Trump's neglect to voice help for marginalized people and supporting neo-nazis.

It was US Rep Dave Trott that tweeted President Trump "should focus more on golf & have less press conferences." Many were offended by the tone of the tweet and said politicians should be more serious when matters like this occur. However, Trump has spent a significant amount of his presidency on the golf course. Ironically so, since he blasted Obama for the vacation time he took during his presidency.

Were you offended by Trott's tweet? Or do you think in a time like this politicians should be using their wit to call out the President?
