Master P Buys a Professional Basketball Team, the New Orleans Gators

While it was announced earlier this month that Master P would be taking the helm as president of the Global Mixed Gender Basketball league, it's now been revealed that the New Orleans rap mogul will also own a team based in his hometown called the New Orleans Gators.

P announced the news on his Instagram with a graphic featuring his portrait and the team's logo.

"PERCY MILLER AKA THE NEW OWNER OF THE PROFESSIONAL BASKETBALL
TEAM THE NEW ORLEANS GATORS," he captioned the pic.

The GMGB is designed to "put professional men and women athletes on the basketball court at the same time, creating a unique atmosphere for male and female athletes to play together," according to the announcement on the league's website.

So far the league only boasts two other teams besides the Gators--the Washington DC Fusion and Atlanta Heirs.
