Master P was officially named President of the new Global Mixed Gender Basketball league, during a press conference held at the legendary Rucker Park on Thursday, August 3.

The No Limit mogul has long been known for his affinity towards the game. P was balling out prior to his music career, but he dropped out of the University of Houston to pursue a career in business midway through his freshman year. During the 2000's he'd get back to pursuing his dreams on the court, with contracts that helped him play through the 1998 preseason with the Charlotte Hornets and the 1999 preseason with the Toronto Raptors.

TMZ caught up with P after the press conference to get an idea of how wide he sees the scope of possibilities being for the GMGBL. He says he's thinking big and has his eyes already set on such greats as Paul Pierce and Lisa Leslie. He also said he wouldn't mind getting LaVar Ball on board with one of the league's eight teams. "I want to get LaVar Ball into the league. I want to see how good he really is," said P.

LaVar Ball in a mix-gender league. What a novel idea.
