According to reports, Steve Bannon may be out of the White House pretty soon. Via CBS News, it was reported that the White House chief strategist could be by the end of the week. The potential ax for Bannon comes after he allegedly used his relationship with conservative media to undermine decisions made by H.R. McMaster, the National Security advisor for the White House.
Along with that issue, Bannon reportedly met with Trump this weekend a few times to assure him not to criticize the white supremacists too drastically, as it could rile up the base of his supporters. Because Trump waited two days to actually address the situation, he was met with backlash. Not only for his late response but for failing to directly call out the white supremacists responsible. Since then, critics of the president have been calling for Steve Bannon to be removed from the White House. Steve Bannon has allegedly created a group of people within the West Wing of the White who operate on their own, which is causing conflict in the Oval Office.
