After his initial response to the white supremacist demonstrations in Charlottesville, VA this past weekend was criticized for failing to mention hate groups like the KKK by name, Donald Trump on Monday condemned the KKK, neo-Nazis, and other white supremacist groups as "repugnant."

"We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry, and violence. It has no place in America," Trump said. "Racism is evil. And those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including the KKK, neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans."

To many critics, the president's comments were too little too late.
