Threats between North Korea and the U.S. were becoming heated, as taunts from Trump and Kim Jong-Un were arriving day-by-day. The last threat made by North Korea found the country saying they could possibly fire missiles at Guam, a U.S. territory. Trump responded by saying they would be met with “fire and fury” if they went along with their plan.

Since then, the country’s state media has issued a statement, saying, “If the Yankees persist in their extremely dangerous reckless actions on the Korean Peninsula and in its vicinity, testing the restraint of the DPRK [North Korea], the [North] will make an important decision as it already declared.” Essentially, the statement serves as a form of North Korea saying that they are not looking for issues, but will address them if the U.S. acts first. According to reports from North Korea’s state media, Kim Jong-Un has made the decision to back off from firing missiles at Guam after he met with top commanders in his army.
