Donald Trump continues to use Twitter as a way to lash out at anyone whose agenda doesn’t align with his. The victim this time was Senator Richard Blumenthal, who Trump called a “phony Vietnam con artist.”

Via Twitter, Trump said, “Interesting to watch Senator Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut talk about hoax Russian collusion when was a phony Vietnam con artist!” The president went on to say, “Never in U.S. history has anyone lied or defrauded voters like Senator Richard Blumenthal. He told stories about his Vietnam battles and conquests, how brave he was, and it was all a lie. He cried like a baby and begged for forgiveness like a child. Now he judges collusion?” What many news outlets and personalities pointed out is that Blumenthal’s comments were aired on CNN’s New Day, a channel Trump has said he doesn’t watch in the past because they are “fake news.”
