Recently, news broke of Dallas Cowboys receiver Lucky Whitehead being arrested in Virginia after he had been ID’d by a store employee who said he allegedly stole merchandise. Earlier this month, Whitehead failed to appear in court for arraignment, which led to Prince William County deputies in Virginia to issue another warrant for failure to appear in court. Along with that, a new court date would be set for the Whitehead.

Since then, the Cowboys have made a hard decision to cut Whitehead from the roster. During a press conference that took place at the Cowboys Camp, head coach Jason Garrett addressed the issues with Whitehead. The coach noted that the Cowboys would handle the situation depending on the needs of the organization and that he was not aware of the warrant for Whitehead’s arrest. Shortly after the press conference, Whitehead was cut from the Cowboys’ roster.
