Senate Republicans, after working in secrecy for weeks, on Thursday unveiled their plan to repeal the Affordable Care Act. The bill would make deep cuts to Medicaid and do away with the federal mandate that most Americans have health insurance.

The Senate bill maintains the fundamental structure of the House bill that was passed last month. It's a more moderate version of the original plan, but still disincentivizes states to expand Medicaid and repeals all the taxes put in place to pay for the Affordable Care Act.

The Congressional Budget Office published a report that said the House GOP health care plan would leave 24 million Americans uninsured.

The Senate bill will likely come to the floor next week.
