Things got a little tense during Monday's episode of "Everyday Struggle" when Chicago rapper Vic Mensa told DJ Akademiks that he wanted to slap him, while also calling him a "b**ch" in regards to Akademiks' "The War in Chiraq" YouTube series which Mensa accused of making light of the horrific violence in his hometown.

Eager to clear the air, Akademiks revisited the heated moment during Tuesday's episode of "Everyday Struggle."

"I am never above an artist who may have a difference of opinion on either what I've said or what I've said about them, to come up here and voice it--that's the reason we have guests," he said.

"I want to make it clear...I've never clowned anyone who died due to drill music, or anything in the Chicago culture. If anything...I've always got at the people who were doing the killing."

Akademiks posted the relevant portion of the episode to his Instagram, accompanied by a lengthy caption in which he apologized to the people of Chicago for his past comments on drill music.
