The situation arose after Nadeska Alexis asked Vic what he thinks of Akademiks' coverage of the Chicago hip-hop scene.
Vic then turned to Akademiks and told him, “I wanted to slap you in your face. Whatever made you feel like you had a space to have a perspective of our people dying on a daily basis? To tell you the truth, I really think you’re a b**** ... That’s a n***a I grew up with. To see you come on the internet with this corny ass little voice and make jokes about it ... I was waiting to see you.”
