The U.S. military tracked two Russian Tu-95 bombers off the Alaskan coast Tuesday afternoon, the second time this week American forces have identified Russian aircraft in the area.

On Monday, two American F-22 fighters were scrambled to intercept two Russian bombers near the Aleutian islands. On Tuesday, the Russian aircraft were about 36 miles off the Alaskan coast.

Russian aircraft have been tracked in that area 60 times since 2007.
