R&B singer Chrisette Michele stirred up controversy this week after it was announced that she would be performing at Donald Trump's inaugural ball.

Many people spoke out in protest of Chrisette's decision to perform, including Questlove, who said he would pay the singer to not perform. Spike Lee also revealed that he would not be playing her music in his new Netflix series, "She's Gotta Have It."

Sources close to the singer told the NY Daily News that she will receive $250,000 for her performance, not the rumored $750,000 that some news outlets were reporting.
