Podcast personality Taxstone was arrested earlier this week for his alleged involvement in the Irving Plaza shooting. According to reports, Taxstone's DNA was allegedly found on the weapon used that left one man dead. It was also noted that Taxstone owned the gun as well. Since then, it was revealed that the personality was released on a $500,000 bail and placed on house arrest. However, Charlamagne Tha God shot down those reports via Angela Yee's Rumor Report segment on The Breakfast Club.
When Angela Yee reported that Taxstone was released, Charlamagne immediately said that was not true. When Yee asked why false reports were circulating, he replied "because people are ridiculous. Fake news is at an all-time high. Like that is not even accurate at all." He also went on to say "He's got another hearing, this morning. There was a $500,000 bail, but the prosecutor appealed it. So they have an appeal hearing this morning to see if the bail will actually go through." If Taxstone's appeal hearing for bail goes through, he will able to post bail, get released, and get placed on house arrest.
