In October, Azealia Banks accused Russell Crowe of abusing her at a party he was hosting in his Beverly Hills hotel room.

25-year-old Banks claimed the 52-year-old actor grabbed her by the neck, spat on her and was racially abusive before throwing her out.  The Gladiator star denied the accusations and witnesses said he was helping protect other guests.  RZA, who invited Banks, agreed with Crowe's version of events, writing in a Facebook post that Banks was the aggressor, lunging at a female guest with a glass before Crowe tossed her out of the gathering.

Following the incident, Banks said she was willing to forgive "in order to heal," but that she would still be going ahead with the charges.

The Los Angeles District Attorney's Office, however, now says it won't be seeking to prosecute the Oscar Award-winning actor.  According to a charge evaluation report, party guests had accused the rapper of acting violently.

"Witnesses state that prior to being ejected from the hotel room by Crowe, Banks repeatedly used a racial epithet, was verbally aggressive to party attendees and threatened to break a glass to cut the throat of a female guest and/or Crowe," according to the report.

"Guests report after this threat was made they saw Crowe struggle with Banks to prevent Banks from using the glass she picked up, seemingly to carry out her threat.  It was then that Crowe escorted Banks out of the room."

The district attorney's office also decided it would be "inappropriate" to hold Crowe criminally accountable for allegedly spitting on Banks' glove hand because "it was incidental to preventing more serious threatened violence."

The often turbulent New York rapper is known for her Twitter quarrels and numerous celebrity feuds.  She was also very vocal about her version of events on the night of the party.

Banks has yet to comment on these reports since the fallout; she's vowed to stay out of controversy and to "focus on her music."
