Kanye West took everyone by surprise at the 2015 MTV VMAs when he announced that he will be running for president in 2020, and while a lot of people are taking the rapper seriously, Lord Jamar is not one of them. The Brand Nubian rapper seemed skeptical about Kanye's presidential run, and he believes that the Chicago emcee is using the hype as promotion for an upcoming album.
The current presidential hopefuls also came up in conversation, including Ben Carson, whom Lord Jamar admits that he agrees with Carson's stance on people being allowed to wave the Confederate flag on their property. The rapper's statement later led to him questioning what Kanye's stance would be on important issues like Israel, the Middle East, and racial disparity.
