Former Subway spokesperson Jared Fogle agreed to pay out $1.4 million in restitution to 14 minor victims as part of his punishment after pleading guilty to child pornography and sex-crime charges.
Ten of the victims or their parents received $100,000 hand- delivered checks and signed that the restitution would benefit the victim. Four additional victims will also receive restitution in the case to help pay for counseling and help them move on from the incident.
Fogle will be sentenced in the case on November 19, and under a plea deal which was reached in August, prosecutors agreed not to seek a sentence exceeding twelve and a half years. The former spokesperson also agreed not to ask for less than five years.
