In the latest Vanity Fair issue, cover star Rihanna Fenty let readers into her private life by sharing what she does in her downtime, details about her now-nonexistent relationship with Chris Brown, and her thoughts on Rachel Dolezal. A few months back, 37-year-old Rachel Dolezal was outted for pretending to be Black, a move Rihanna finds quite heroic.

Despite the unfathomable scrutiny and hateful comments thrown Dolezal's way to this day, Miss Fenty feels "she was a bit of a hero, because she kind of flipped on society a little bit." "Is it such a horrible thing that she pretended to be Black?" Rihanna asks. "Black is a great thing, and I think she legit changed people's perspective a bit and woke people up."

Upon reading the statement this morning, Dolezal took to Instagram to share the interview and posted a pic of the Bajan superstar. While most can't deny Rachel Dolezal's prolific contributions to the Black community during her tenure as Spokane, Washington's NAACP President, the word "heroic" is not one many would use when describing her. Let us know how you feel about Rihanna's statement below.
