A couple of days ago, megastars Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift went head-to-head via Twitter after Nicki's video for "Anaconda" wasn't nominated for MTV Video Music Awards' "Video of the Year." "Black women influence pop culture so much but are rarely rewarded for it," she tweeted out, pointing her aim at the "women with very slim bodies" who do get nominated for the category.

Pop star Taylor Swift took it personally since her video for "Bad Blood" was nominated, which features a bevy of slender women. She called Nicki out over it and received extreme backlash from her comments, including one from Katy Perry, which is presumably who Swift is speaking to in "Bad Blood." "Finding it ironic to parade the pit women against other women argument about as one unmeasurably capitalizes on the take down of a woman...," Katy wrote in a tweet that Nicki allegedly favorited.

This morning, the "22" singer got back on Twitter to apologize to Miss Minaj after reportedly misunderstanding her tweets. "I thought I was being called out...I'm sorry, Nicki," Taylor sent out.
