Following Iggy's wins at this year's Billboard Music Awards, many people, including veteran Golden Era rapper Ice-T, have voiced their dismay at the Australian import winning big at the awards show. Recently, a petition has surfaced on Change.org demanding that Billboard retract the "Fancy" rapper's award for Top Rap Song on the grounds that "Fancy" was released a month before eligibility for the award began.

At the time of this writing, the petition had garnered nearly 20,000 signatures.

"Iggy Azalea's 2015 Billboard Award for Best Song has been proven invalid," reads the petition's statement. "The eligibility time period for nominations is March 10th, 2014 through March 2015. "Fancy" was released on February 17th, 2014, nearly a month before the eligibility starting. This is unfair to the other nominees in these category, especially to "Anaconda" by Nicki Minaj, who most likely would've won. Billboard did not follow their own guidelines and should have to recalculate these nominations without "Fancy" as a nominee."

Do you agree with the petition, or did Iggy earn her Billboard award for Top Rap Song fair and square?
