It's been a rough 24 hours in the hip-hop world, as Coke Boys rapper Chinx was shot and killed early yesterday morning. Many rappers have taken to their social media platforms to pay their respects to the 31-year-old, and now Chinx's labelmate French Montana has decided to speak on the death of his friend.

Last night French reposted a picture of him and Chinx to his own Instagram, a photo that was taken of them while in Miami about two months ago. "Who would of thought‼️ i'll ever get that call ‼️," the "Mac & Cheese" rapper wrote. He then put up a clip of Jay Z saying rest in peace to the slain Chinx at his B-Sides concert last night, captioning it "the devil comes in all shapes and sizes and he's ruthless. Life here is temporary."

"I'm sad to see my brother go out like this, one of the realest people I met," French Montana continued. "This s***'s not right. These streets don't love us. My prayers go to his kids and family. We going to finish off what we started #ripchinx #ripstacks #freemaxb s/o to #jayz."
