"I felt like tonight, I wanna say something that's a bit more important," began Jay Z before he spit a freestyle to his B-Sides audience during his exclusive show over the weekend. "I don't wanna destroy the vibe, but, a young man got killed in Queens, name's Chinx."

Coke Boys' Chinx - real name Lionel Pickens - was shot and killed in his borough of Queens early Sunday morning. Jay Z continued on with his speech in the clip above, letting it be known that "we are seriously under attack like never before." "And, we're still killing each other. We need to understand that we are Kings and Queens."

The Brooklyn rap veteran seems to side with Meek Mill as well, as Meek wrote yesterday that it was situations like Chinx's that makes him not "f*** with the hood nomore." "A young man trying to make a way out of the hood, goes back to the hood. Ya know...you can't have it both ways," Jay Z spoke. "You see, people they left the hood and they never wanna come back, [but] when people go to the hood they get killed. We can't have it both ways. We gotta protect our own...and I know our situation's a setup, I came from the same place y'all come from...So I know how hard it is..."

Hear what else he had to say - including his freestyle - above.

Rest in peace Chinx.
