Snoop Dog paid tribute to the late Dick Clark, thanking him for having his back when he fought for Snoop to perform his hit "Gin and Juice" on the American Music Awards, despite massive resistance from the ABC executives.
"Dick Clark, a real ni**a, always a stand-up kind of guy for me," said Snoop. "I didn't even have to act a motherf**king ni**a. Dick Clark acted a ni**a. He went stone cold ni**a on [ABC]."
