On Wednesday (February 1), Tom Brady took to Instagram to share a video announcing his official retirement from the NFL. He started off telling viewers, "Good morning guys, I'll get to the point right away. I'm retiring for good."

Brady went on to address his retirement announcement from last year, which he rescinded to play one more year with Tampa. He stated, "I know the process was a pretty big deal last time so when I woke up this morning I figured I just press record and let you guys know first. I won’t be long-winded, you only get one super-emotional retirement essay and I used mine up last year."

Brady made history for winning the most Super Bowls of any player in NFL history. He also is the NFL’s all-time leader in passing yards, passing touchdowns and QB wins in both the regular season and postseason.
