Update 10/03/2022 9:17am:

Previously, Mark Cuban gave an update on Delonte West, noting he helped the former NBA player enter rehab in 2020 after picking him up at a Houston gas station. The move by Cuban came after a concerning video surfaced on the internet showing West panhandling. In 2020, Cuban gave an update on West, saying the former star NBA player is “climbing” to success with getting better. Now, Cuban has provided another update on West’s status.

Cuban was approached by TMZ while in New York and spoke candidly about Delonte West’s journey to get healthy. He said he is in contact with West and that the player is still pushing to get better. “It's a struggle for him. I mean, addiction is awful. And mental illness is awful. He's at the point in his life where he's got to want to be helped,” said Cuban.

While the journey isn’t over, Cuban said the effort has to be put in by West as well. “You know, he's got to want to help himself first. I’ve tried. I know it's tough on him, but I wish him nothing but the best,” said the NBA franchise owner. Take a look above.
