In many instances, a successful pastoral career equates to thankless work that changes the lives of individuals who otherwise may have chosen the wrong path. But, with the emergence of flashy figureheads such as the famous Brooklyn Bishop, who was robbed of $1 million worth of jewelry (Lamor Miller-Whitehead) while live streaming, it's become quite apparent that preaching the good news can also be quite lucrative. In a recent, on-camera soliloquy, a charismatic pastor from Kansas City boldly declared that he too should enjoy the spoils of his occupation by condemning his congregation for neglecting to give him more of their money and a new watch that he's been asking for.

“See that’s how I know you’re still poor, broke, busted, and disgusted because of how you’ve been honoring me,” said the lively pastor as he paced back and forth in front of his audience. “I’m not worth your McDonald’s money? I’m not worth your Red Lobster money? I ain't worth your St. John Knits? Y’all can’t afford it no how. I ain’t worth your Louis Vuitton? I ain’t worth your Prada? I’m not worth your Gucci?"

The commentary was a part of the pastor's sermon about attending to "God's Shepard," a biblical term that refers to a person who leads God's people/believers.
